Publishing Ethics

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Academy of Social Science Research (the publisher of IJMRCI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics throughout the publication process. The Chief Editor ensures fairness, confidentiality, and a conflict-free double-blind peer review process. IJMRCI follows ethical guidelines established by COPE and Elsevier. All stakeholders—authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher—must meet strict ethical responsibilities.

Ethical Behaviour and Responsibility of Authors

Authorship: Only significant contributors should be listed as authors. The corresponding author must be clearly designated. Acknowledgments are required for others who contributed but do not qualify for authorship.

Changes in Authorship: Must be approved by all listed authors before review. No changes allowed after publication.

Conflicts of Interest & Funding: All financial or private interests and funding sources must be disclosed.

Originality & Plagiarism: Submissions must be original. IJMRCI uses Turnitin with a less than 8% similarity threshold.

Data Integrity: No data fabrication or falsification is allowed.

Redundant Publication: Manuscripts must not be submitted elsewhere or previously published. Major reuse (over 20%) is not accepted unless properly disclosed.

Research Involving Human Subjects
  • Minimize harm to participants
  • Obtain informed consent
  • Ensure anonymity and confidentiality
  • Avoid deception unless ethically justified
  • Allow participants to withdraw at any time
Ethical Behaviour and Responsibility of Reviewers

Confidentiality: Reviewers must not disclose any part of the review process.

Objectivity: Reviews must be fair, timely, and based on expertise.

Conflict of Interest: Must be declared. If any, another reviewer will be assigned.

Ethical Behaviour and Responsibility of Editors

Fair Decision: Editors must make unbiased decisions based on quality and relevance.

Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the anonymity of authors and reviewers.

Conflict of Interest: Editors must declare any conflicts and avoid handling affected manuscripts.

Research Misconduct: Allegations will be handled seriously following Elsevier and COPE guidelines.

Ethical Responsibility of the Publisher

The Academy of Social Science Research (AOSSR) is committed to editorial independence, legal and ethical compliance, archival maintenance, and educating stakeholders on publication ethics. The publisher supports editors and ensures the transparency and integrity of the editorial process.
